Edale has broken from tradition at this year’s Labelexpo Europe by showcasing an interactive display of its label printing technologies rather than the usual behind the rope label printing display.

James Boughton, MD of Edale, says, “Our objective is to give prospective clients the chance to touch, feel and interact with our key technologies. Fundamentally we all know how to print a quality label so we want to show close up how this is done with an Edale press. Furthermore, the reason to be at the show is to network with customers and for customers to connect with Edale. By having the stand largely manned by engineers rather than salespeople, we feel this gives a unique chance for open and productive discussions. Edale is all about listening and developing relationships with customers old and new, this format will create that open, interactive experience that defines Edale and its values.”

The modules displayed include two FL3 430 wide print stations, the first with a chilled LED UV and the second with an extended UV chilled web path. The new FL3 print station now features more automation as standard (AiiR), which includes motorized inking and impression, as well as motorized linear and lateral register control.

Edale is also showcasing their latest technology the new EZ Die, enabling the operators to change a die tool in less than 60 seconds. Benefits of this include pre-registration of the tool, motorized cross register and pre-setting and automatic waste matrix pick up.
Located at the “Print Bar” on the stand is the Edale EFX Print Bar, which is a high precision, UV based inkjet system designed to digitize print finishing and embellishment.

Also being demonstrated at the show is an FL5 Print station, 510mm wide. The FL5 is suitable for the production of short run, single pass folding cartons and can be run inline with the Edale Flatbed diecutter.
